FREE STUFF!!

My husband began making these twisted wire easels for me, when he gave special Valentines and small vintage items to me as gifts. I think they are great for ATC / ACEO displays. Measuring approximately 2 inches x 2 1/2 inches, they are a perfect fit for ACEO's or any small photo/collage/artwork. Fits both vertically and horizontally. They look great grouped together ,and here is your chance to win 3 of them!! On February 28th, I will randomly pick one person who has posted a comment to win 3 of these easels, and you can choose to either keep them for your own ATC collection, or give them away when you sell one of your own. Please just comment about what you think of these easels, and if you have any suggestions on how I can improve upon them. I am currently selling them in my Etsy shop as well. Thanks and good luck!

An Award For ME :)

I was just handed this thoughtful award by my friend Kathy, of vintagesnapsandscrap. I have not worked on my blog for long, but when I realize that people are reading and and even enjoying it, it gives me the incentive to continue with this blog work. Thank you Kathy. As part of the award, I am to tell 5 things I am "into" right now. Here goes.

~ I am into antiques as much if not more than I ever was
~ I am into thinking SPRING, as this winter doesn't seem to want to end!
~ I am into juggling time, and always trying to find ways to spend more time creating.
~ I am into owls and crows. I always have loved animals but right now those are my 2 animals of obsession.
~ I am into planning 2 different workshops I have agreed to teach at a nearby favorite shop of mine this Spring.

With that said, I now pass this award on to 5 other wonderful blog owners:

New Etsy Team.... Etsy Trolls

Only a couple of weeks ago, several Michiganders and I decided to start a new Etsy team, of Michigan artists. It hss had great success and I am amazed at how many people want to be a part of this group! We are now, officially the Etsy Trolls, or Etsy Michigan Trolls. For anyone not from Michigan, a troll is someone who lives below the Mackinaw Bridge. It is a team of talented artists of many styles. We hope to do an occasional craft show, and try and get this Michigan economy rolling again! Please comment and check comments below to see who is part of the team. Yay Trolls!

HEAVENLY SCENTS Workshop Project

I was asked to teach an altered journal workshop at the wonderful Heavenly Scents Herb Farm, in Fenton, Michigan. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to be asked, and I am really looking forward to seeing what the participants come up with! The theme will be a garden/nature theme, and of course will revolve around vintage items that can be used to embellish them. I have already been preparing; getting images copied, items purchased, plans made. First thing I did was to make two actual samples of what an altered journal in the garden/nature theme might look like. This is my interpretation. Of course, each person will have their own personality show up in their work of art. Please contact me for any details!
