Free Giveaway In Exchange for Your Free Advice!!

I think we all have experienced a lull or two in our selling ventures, and this summer I think it's all too familiar for us all that sales are slow, whether it's the hectic chaotic lives of the every day lives of the world around us, or whether it's the economy. I am trying to find out what you, the readers to to keep from throwing in the towel, or from just feeling discouraged in general during slow times such as this. Please leave a comment and you will be entered in my giveaway. I have this NEW 10 piece tool set made by Making Memories. It is used for book binding, rivet setting, attaching through tough materials, etc. Complete with the storage tin, it has never been used. Time to clear out some "stuff". I hope we all can pick up a tip or two on how other creative people cope with down-slides! I am a "glass is half full" kind of person, and I am definitely not discouraged to the point of giving in, but I think we all can use a pick-me-up and words of enouragement from time to time! The winner of this give-away will be selected , announced and notified on Friday, July 31. Good Luck!

Altered Fall and Halloween Journals

Captured Witch in a Jar

It's hard to believe that summer is officially half over, and we are in the planning stages of Halloween and Christmas workshops! I am so excited to be doing 6 workshops this fall, 4 of which will be held at one of Holly's most unique shops Holly Hills Primitives. Owner Dawn Rossell has a way of making anyone feel at home in her shop, and it is a pleasure to know her. These are some samples of a few of the workshops which we will be doing right in her shop. Can't wait! And please visit Dawn's blog to get some ideas of the treasures she carries.

Pink & Brown Theme Thursday Challenge

FINALLY I have participated in a challenge again, and it feels great to be posting my entry, and see all the other wonderful items co-bloggers are creating! This challenge happens to be over at Theme Thursday and the topic is the color pink and brown. This altered journal is called "Time Flies" and is made with several clock stampings, a 3-D clock face, rusty old wings and crown, and several other "clockish" goodies on the back. Have fun creating this week!

Home Away From Home

The cabin kitchen, with slate tile floor we recently added, and my beloved antiques.
This deer mount is an antique (truly) as I am not a fan of hunting!

"B's Nest"

Our family cabin tucked away in the woods of Northern Michigan has been a wonderful source of joy for us all, and this past holiday week, our whole family was able to spend some time there together for some much needed rest! It has been a whirlwind of a summer so far; and not one I care to repeat, but getting away from mail, phone calls, appointments, jobs, laundry and calendars does wonders for the soul, just when we needed it most. Now that the summer is officially half over, and our son's graduation party went off without a hitch, I can look forward to more creating, planning and creating of 5 workshops I have been asked to teach this fall, an art fair I am in, and also working on my Etsy shop. It's hard to believe I am already in the planning stages for Christmas!! I look forward to getting back into visiting blogs, entering art challenges, and feeling more like myself again. More on the workshops and art fairs at a later date!
