Miss Byrne and her new "digs"
I have just recently acquired my daughters 2 animals as she is passing through on her way to New York to live. I once vowed I would never ever in a million years take on her animals when she moved, but weakened as the days wore on, then eventually I vowed to not let a total stranger adopt them. "Who knows where they might end up" was my logic, so here they are now safely at my house. The 5 x 7 foot rabbit hutch is a blessing, from a friend who was no longer using it. At least now Miss Byrne can be outside for most of the year. She has seperate "quarters" where she can be completely tucked away from wind, rain, snow and cold. Now if my 2 dogs would just leave poor Bowie Cat alone!

Great pics! What a sweet Mom you are!
My Mom got rid of my rabbit when I went off to college.Long ago but I still remember how upset I was
What a great mom! Good for you, Dawn
What pretty new babies you have! It's going to be hard not to get attached. You and your daughter might have to share custody!
Something about the look in Bowie cat's face makes me think he might be able to make believers out of the doggies! :-)

Looks like the new pets are right at home! You're such a sweet mom for taking them in. I'm sure your daughter really appreciates it!
It's sweet of you to take in these 2 furbabies for your daughter! My daughter had at least 2 mini rex in our backyard for 4-H for about 4 years (until she became a teenager and I was doing all the work taking care of them). Seems odd not having a rabbit in the backyard now (that rabbit hutch rocks!). My gardens miss the rich compost too. But like you said, you never know who might get them if you didn't step up and take them in. It won't be long before your kitty puts the dogs in their place lol.
Thanks! Right now we are just sorting and pitching and getting ready for the demolition work. What a job!
I will be out of town from Thurs to Sun at the trade shows, but we should be FULL again as soon as I get back!
Stay cool and enjoy the week, Dawn
P.S. Thanks for the links!
That's very kind of you to give these cuties a home. I have a friend who's teaching in S. America so her two cats are lodging with her mum in Scotland. And getting seriously spoilt too!

Oh this is so sweet, love her hutch, so glad she is snug as a bug in a rug!:)
I can relate about the doggies and kitty cat, our puppy is terrorizing our poor kitty! I YI YI
Wonderful for your daughter and the critters, that you have such a kind heart.
What a sweet baby. I want to stick my face in her fur. Gives new meaning to "snuggle bunny".
