NEED IDEAS!

I acquired this "shadow box" with a lot of old yardsticks I purchased on Ebay. I didn't even purchase the lot knowing this would be in it, but when I saw it, I knew it was destined to be a wonderful thing! It is made with 3 distressed "Flying Goose" yardsticks, glued/nailed together, then 12 compartments made up of more Flying Goose yardstick pieces. I have 12 various sized compartments to do something with and I am looking for ideas, because I just can't seem to make up my mind on what route to take. Any help? Please zoom in the photos so you can get a close look :)

I would use this in my workroom, put little findings and small bits in the compartments, maybe some papers or photos in the larger.
OR, I decorate with primitves and antiques, so this could also go in one of my rooms, with little bits and pieces. I have a big tin type collection, maybe display small photos, standing up in the slots? I would move it around a good bit in my house I bet.

This is so cool. Definitely great for display or to organize little things like beads or watch parts.
It would certainly make a really unique shadowbox too. Can't wait to see what you decide on! Love the last shadowbox too by the way - fab frame on it too!

What a great shadow box! I'd hang it vertically with lowest numbers at the bottom and make little sepia images of my kids to fill in the compartment shelves ( I'd hate to hide the construction of the box). Maybe dangle some pictures(angel winged) from hooks on the underside of the shelves) Start with baby pictures at the bottom (lowest #'s) and fill in the upper compartments as they age? Kind of like a growth chart. I'd add vintage looking images of flying geese too!

Wow, what a cool shadowbox...I would fill it with tiny miniatures, like a tiny thimble, and some spools of thread, etc...I have little dolls that would fit great also...I just love yardsticks.
