Home Away From Home

The cabin kitchen, with slate tile floor we recently added, and my beloved antiques.
This deer mount is an antique (truly) as I am not a fan of hunting!

"B's Nest"

Our family cabin tucked away in the woods of Northern Michigan has been a wonderful source of joy for us all, and this past holiday week, our whole family was able to spend some time there together for some much needed rest! It has been a whirlwind of a summer so far; and not one I care to repeat, but getting away from mail, phone calls, appointments, jobs, laundry and calendars does wonders for the soul, just when we needed it most. Now that the summer is officially half over, and our son's graduation party went off without a hitch, I can look forward to more creating, planning and creating of 5 workshops I have been asked to teach this fall, an art fair I am in, and also working on my Etsy shop. It's hard to believe I am already in the planning stages for Christmas!! I look forward to getting back into visiting blogs, entering art challenges, and feeling more like myself again. More on the workshops and art fairs at a later date!
